Advising
As a student in Aerospace Engineering, you have a number of advising options (in sequential order):
1. Your Advisor at the College of Engineering (COE)
For all current and matriculated Aerospace Engineering students including junior transfers, your Engineering Student Services (ESS) advisor at COE will be your best resource regarding courses and degree requirements. Your ESS Advisor at COE is Mayra Rivera and she can be reached at m.rivera@berkeley.edu. As your ESS Advisor, Mayra manages your academic record and is the primary enforcer of COE’s academic policies. She is also your first stop if you wish to file for any type of academic or administrative petition.
2. Karren Bautista Tanisaki, Aerospace Engineering Student Services Advisor
Karren serves as the primary source of information for program-specific and administrative-related services. 3. Professor Panos Papadopoulos, Faculty Director, Aerospace Engineering Program
Professor Papadopoulos is responsible for the Aerospace Engineering undergraduate curriculum and handles the official approval of undergraduate student petitions for Aerospace Engineering majors. He also provides guidance to students on research and internship opportunities and can serve as a liaison between students and other faculty.
